What You'll Get
The bagel, like the circle from which it takes its shape, is a metaphor for life; it literally never ends. Quell your circular hunger with today’s Groupon: for $4, you get $10 worth of bagels, sandwiches, and more at New York Bagels & Café. This Groupon cannot be used toward bottled drinks.
The bagels at New York Bagels & Café are kettle-boiled in water and then freshly baked to a chewy consistency until they taste like bagels and not crusty breadstuff attempting to pass itself off as a canvas for cream cheese. The menu boasts more than 20 species of bagels, including sourdough, jalapeño cheese, and super cinnamon. Gourmet schmears come in 11 flavors, with honey walnut, light herb & garlic, and light strawberry just three of the bagel-bedeckers available. Snag yourself a morning bagel ($0.99 plain, $2.49 with cream cheese), or bring your coworkers a baker's dozen of bagels ($8.49) to make up for the fact that you've forgotten everyone's names.
In addition to a bevy of bagels, New York Bagels & Café also slings other breakfast goodies, including the New York-style egg, which consists of scrambled egg, ham, bacon, and cheddar cheese served with your choice of bagel or toast ($4.49). For lunch, sample an authentic East Coast eat such as the New Yorker smoked-salmon sandwich, topped with cream cheese, tomatoes, red onions, capers, and droll observations on art and literature ($6.49). A thermogenic drink such as a cup of coffee ($1.49–$1.89) or a hot tea ($1.49) will safely and legally caffeinate any part of your day.
- This place does bagels right - toasted and crunchy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. Yummy! Add a light veggie cream cheese (yes...real, chopped veggies. Not some carrot and onion powder mix like some other places will give you) and you are enjoying a little piece of carb heaven. – Sara Y., Yelp
- This place is one of my favorite restaurants. They offer such a variety on their menu I can always find something that sounds really good. – Jon g.
