$2,200 for LASEK Surgery for Both Eyes ($6,000 Value)

Following an hour-long pre-qualifying meeting, Dr. Matta corrects the blurry vision of qualified patients with LASEK eye surgery. During this quick, 20-minute procedure, he numbs eyes with drops then creates a thin flap in the very outer layer of the eye through which to reach the cornea. This temporary door is thinner than the one created during LASIK surgery, thus reducing some risks and opening the procedure up to some who may have been ineligible for LASIK. A laser reshapes the cornea, and then a protective soft contact rests on the eye for three to four days to promote healing and muffle excited irises' shouts of joy.
