Just to clarify, this Groupon is for the versions accessed by computer or smartphone, but what about the ipad app?

This Groupon deal does not include the NY Times app for iPad. However, you can access nytimes.com via the web browser on your iPad.

Why does the expiration date say February, when 26 weeks would be ending May 25th, 2013?

Sorry for the confusion! This Groupon is valid for 26 weeks, but per the Fine Print, you must redeem it with the business before the expiration date, Feb 27, 2013.
