Every Monday and Wednesday at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday at 5:45 a.m., and Sunday at 10 a.m., certified instructors lead groups of 20–30 boot campers through rigorous exercises throughout the city. Students tackle squat jumps in thigh-high ocean water, do pull-ups on jungle gyms, or scramble on park rocks to build strength. One-on-one personal-training sessions pair each guest with a trainer, who develops a routine tailored to the client’s fitness goals.

These are just some of the sounds that make up the soundtrack during New You Fitness’s outdoor boot-camp sessions. The certified instructors lead 20–30 students of all fitness levels through intense workouts that draw from their surroundings. In any given session, guests might wade into the ocean for squat jumps and frolic on a nearby park’s playground, doing pull-ups on the monkey bars. Trainers keep guests coming back for more with their constantly changing routines, and cook up meal plans based on guests’ fitness goals and levels to complement the strenuous exercise. When not leading group classes, they conduct one-on-one personal-training sessions, giving guests their full attention and making sure all the exercises are performed efficiently and safely.
