Called "an extraordinary journey" by the Daily Mirror and winner of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award, this documentary tells the true story of an American folk musician, Rodriguez, who faded into obscurity in the 1970s before later rising to prominence in apartheid-era South Africa. Presented in collaboration with the Newport Folk Festival, this screening will also have the film's director, Malik Bendjelloul, and its subject, the musical artist Rodriguez, in attendance.
