Is the ground class offered anytime other than Saturday?

A:

Not currently. We may make an exception and do a class on another day. What day of the week would work better?

My 17 year old son has a year of high school left then wants to be a flight missionary. How much do you charge for the whole ground school class?

A:

The whole ground school course is $500 for the class, or he has the option to do our new online interactive course as well that costs $380.

Q:

Hi, I purchased this because of the 51% discount on the $221 value, including "Three hours of ground-school training (a $135 value)." But I noticed on the website (http://www.flynexgenaviation.com/courses/6-private-pilot-license) that "28 hours private pilot ground school" costs $500; At 17.85/hour, three hours of ground-school totals $53.55, not $135. At this rate, the total value for the Groupon would be $140.05 and not $221. How do you reconcile the $81 difference? Thanks for your time.

A:

The $500 deal on the website is a special for students who do the entire ground school course in the classroom as a multi student class. It is a volume discount and designed as an incentive for the student to complete the full course. Normal ground instruction is $45 per hour.

Q:

Are these private lessons ? Do you do these lessons on a Saturday or Sunday? Are the lessons done in late evening after 5pm? Are these lessons geared more for a younger student or any age?

Lillian C.  asked on  May 28, 2013

A:

The flight is done as a private lesson and the ground portion is done as a class via powerpoint. The Flight lessons can be scheduled anytime, weekday or weekend. The ground lessons will be held the second Saturday of every month from 1pm to 4pm. The lessons are geared for any age. I've had students from 10 years old up to 75.
