Couples meet at 9 a.m. in the vineyard, where viticulturists show them how to de-stem grape bunches before guiding them through the winemaking process. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., participants will harvest grapes. Afterwards, during a hands-on demonstration, guests will get to stomp grapes, press out the juice, and add yeast to unfermented red and white wines. At 2 p.m., groups take a break for a lunch of pizza and wine served under an outdoor tent in the vineyard. The experience ends at 3 p.m., at which point visitors depart with two complimentary bottles of wine made from gris grapes.

Next Chapter Vineyard

A rustic red barn nestled in the fields of New Prague stands as the centerpiece of Next Chapter Vineyard. Around it stands six acres of vineyards blooming with marquette, frontenac, gris, and le crescent grapes. On these grounds, the Tulloch family mashes, presses, and ferments their varietals into a range of red and white wines. They often demonstrate their process to curious visitors and incorporate old winemaking techniques, such as grape stomping and waiting until the wine is properly aged before allowing it to vote.

The staff is so friendly. Many of their wines are not typical MN sweet red/white. Great care and knowledge is utilized to make some amazing wines.
Chad C. · February 4, 2017
It is a very nice vineyard and winery with good wine. Some of the wines are spectacular and should be noted for being a Minnesota vintner.
