About Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center
Choreographer and director Michelle Stafford has become something of a dance-coach powerhouse since she founded Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center in 2008. She's led her high-caliber performing company to victories at numerous regional and national competitions, and snatched up a Senior Critic’s Choice award along with a slew of other awards and scholarships at the 2010 New York City Dance Alliance National Championship. Stafford's studio also partnered with the NBA Development League’s Texas Legends, producing and directing the dance team’s routines during the 2011–2012 basketball season. Under her guidance, many of her students leap into careers as professional dancers, and one even took home the title of Miss Texas Outstanding Teen 2011.
Stafford and her team of highly trained instructors strive to create little foxtrotters who are not only military-grade dancers, but strong in mind, body, and spirit at an expansive facility located in Frisco Square. They promote physical fitness and artistic expression in an environment that is as safe and healthy as a star fruit with the sharp edges trimmed off.
