Greg was an informative and congenial host - samples were much more than - he prepared some wonderful cocktails with the various spirits and bitters! For that reason, I would recommend Ubering it to get the full benefit of the experience. Great to discover and support a stellar local product and company. The only issue was that since the staff are limited, it can be difficult to contact the company to arrange a tour and tours are limited to Saturday afternoon.

Created by two high school friends, Nickel 9 Distillery aims to create pure, classic spirits from local ingredients. Their flagship product, Northern Temple Vodka, owes its crisp and smooth taste to Ontario apples; thanks to the fact that its' main ingredient is apples, this vodka makes a great choice for folks who avoid gluten and GMOs. The owners also strive to promote recycling by offering discounts to customers who return their empty bottles with caps.
