Just finished our first class with Brian and loved it. We are excited to try the techniques at home. I debated about whether to get the two or one class groupon. Really glad bought the two class!! Can't wait to see what is next.

My husband grumbled all the way there about "What a waste of time this was going to be"....to our PLEASANT SURPRISE, my husband's comment could not have been farther from the truth! Brian was not only very knowledgeable and informative, but also he made our session fun! One of the most important things about our session, if not THE MOST IMPORTANT thing was that not only was his instruction was very easy to follow, but BRIAN really made us FEEL COMFORTABLE!!! Thanks to Brian, we now enjoy nightly massage sessions with each other, which I feel brings us closer together in our relationship. Brian even had massage lotion available for sale that we could use that night. We highly recommend Brian and Nirvana Bodyworks!! Thank you!

Brian was so nice and laid back - we had the couples' massage class and he was very patient in explaining and helping us with the techniques.

What You'll Get

Click above to buy this Groupon for $27 couple's admission to the massage technique course ($55 value). Buy here for $15 individual admission ($30 value).

The Spanish Inquisition had many horrific torture methods, but none as justly feared as their coup de grace: people who think they give good massages. Today's deal spares you and your better half from having to half-heartedly say, "That feels… good" through gritted teeth. For $27, you and a friend or sweetie get a class in massage technique from Nirvana Bodyworks (a $55 value) at the Cortiva Institute in Scottsdale. You can also take the class solo for $15, a $30 value. Classes last two hours and will be held on Saturdays starting at 9:30 a.m., noon, and 2:30 p.m. The first class is February 20, and upcoming workshops reach into July. Check out Nirvana's website for specific dates. More classes will be added if demand requires.

During your lesson, you'll learn basic massage techniques that address the most easily stressed parts of the body: the head, neck, shoulders, hands, feet, and stress bladder. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and safe, with ample demonstrations and practice time. You'll also get plenty of one-on-one instruction from a professional massage therapist.

Besides being a perfect Valentine's Day follow-up, today's Groupon will also provide a much-needed correction in technique for any boyfriends whose "patented sensual foot rub" leaves you limping for days. Once you've learned to give good massages, your family members, sweethearts, and friends will classify your precious hands as "golden" and thus incapable of hard labor, dish-washing, and typing at work. In the interest of keeping your magic fingers nimble for kneading, you can sit back as your loved ones perform your chores for you.

About Nirvana Body Works

Brian Watt is so passionate about the benefits of massage that he'll bring his services directly to you. The communications specialist-turned-massage therapist helms a brick-and-mortar space for his clients but also travels to homes and businesses to knead away tension, lower blood pressure, and slay stress through Swedish, deep tissue, Shiatsu, and Thai massage.

And Brian is equally passionate about teaching the art of massage therapy. That's why he leads massage techniques classes that instill fundamental massage skills, in turn helping couples nurture one another without resorting to bottle-feeding each other at every meal.
