Beginning at Bunkhouse at 8 a.m., novice rappellers take 30 minutes to be outfitted with necessary rappelling equipment, including helmets and ropes, before taking a 25-minute drive into the White Mountains. From there, a half-mile walk lead groups to a 100-plus-foot waterfall, where they'll have ample time to rappel the picturesque cascade up to three times. To ensure safety, participants have the option of walking down at any point along the waterfall, and an instructor mans a second rope attached to each person during his or her descent. The excursion ends around 3 p.m.
