With everything from chocolate cake to cat litter advertised as "heavenly," the word no longer seems an adequate description of Gabriel Fauré's Requiem. Then again, perhaps no words can adequately describe this sublimely powerful choral masterpiece which even the heard-it-all critics of the New York Times admitted was "sensuous." Now the Northwest Boychoir presents their take on Fauré's timeless masterpiece in Choral Tradition -- a magnificent evening of beloved choral works. In addition to the serene beauty of the Requiem, the program also includes Handel's Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened and Italian composer Giovanni Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Glory in this evening of incredibly beautiful music from one of the nation's finest boychoirs at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Seattle.
