Washington State and local sales taxes are exempt from this offer. Customer will need to complete Buyer’s Retail Sales Tax Exemption Certificate and supply this to Northwest Electric & Solar.
Northwest Electric & Solar will assist in all system certification paperwork required by the utility, local permit authority, State Department of Labor and Industries, and/or the State Department of Revenue, but all forms/paperwork are ultimately the responsibility of the customer.
Federal tax credits are the responsibility of the customer. Northwest Electric & Solar can guide the customer in regulations but does not give tax advice.
Both systems are comprised entirely of made-in-Washington materials and, therefore, qualify for the State Renewable Energy Cost Recovery Incentive Payment Program. Northwest Electric & Solar will assist the customer in certifying the system with the State Department of Revenue, but it is the responsibility of the customer to file for the annual production incentive.
Purchase price does not include electrical permit, building permit (usually not necessary), or any utility interconnection fees. Northwest Electric & Solar will obtain all permits and include the cost in the final invoice.
Purchase price does not include structural or electrical engineering (usually not required) or structural or electrical review required by city, county, or state.
( Array is to be roof-mounted on single-family residence only. Array is to be mounted flush to the roof using mechanical anchors. Customer warrants that the roof is structurally sound and will support the added load of the solar array. Customer warrants that the roof has an expected life of at least 10 years before needing replacement.
Array is to be tied to the local utility grid with no battery backup.
Purchase price assumes the following: roof height of 18 feet or less; sufficient space for a contiguous array on a single roof face; roof slope of no more than 4:12 (≈ 18.4°); distance from array to meter/panel less than 50 feet; main panel is up to code, rated at least 125A, and has room for a new feeder circuit at the opposite end of the bus bar from the main breaker; all new equipment is to be mounted to the outside of the building; building currently has no other circuits that might backfeed the main panel (such as a generator); roof covering is asphalt shingle, metal, wood shake, or wood shingle; roof structure is wood purlins or joists spaced on consistent centers and accessible from the inside of the house. Conditions outside those outlined above may incur extra cost.
Customer will allow temporary or permanent roof anchors to be installed for workers to comply with OSHA fall-protection guidelines.
Customer agrees to pay a deposit equal to 65% of the purchase price, minus the $500 Groupon deposit, before materials are ordered. Lead time for materials is generally 6–8 weeks. 35% of the purchase price, plus any costs incurred for permits and/or utility fees, will be due at project completion, marked by utility and State sign-off.
Northwest Electric & Solar will provide customer with site-specific expected production numbers (in kWh) based on Typical Meteorological Year station data but, as the system is largely weather-dependent, makes no guarantee as to year-to-year output.
Customer has read and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in the Northwest Electric & Solar Contract (Lump Sum) for the Design and Installation of Solar Panels.
