I would recommend Manhattan Lasik to give out a tour to every candidates (I know they did on some but not all) and should let them know in advance for every steps, purpose of every machine during all tests and exams, and what they will expect before, during and after the surgery, IN PERSON, ie. not until they ask themselves, or just let them read the materials. As they should be professional and experienced enough to know what is important for the candidates, and where the anxiety comes from. I know it mentioned everywhere telling candidates to ASK QUESTIONS. However, I would still recommend the professionals to point out what everyone needs to know to minimize the uncertainty for each of the steps. Other than that, my experience is so far so good!

Although I was a little put off by the salesman guy and the waiting room felt like you were on some kind of assembly line, the actual surgery was fantastic. My doctor made me feel so completely relaxed and I trusted him completely and his assistant/nurse was really sweet, held my arm during the more difficult part of the operation and kept giving me teddy bears to hold on to. It was over in 15 minutes and I'm still astounded that I can see without glasses and contacts! The groupon deal was really good and I have no hesitation to recommend NY NJ Lasik to anybody who is fed up with their lenses or glasses.

About This Deal

Children who wear glasses endure wisecracks including “four-eyes” and “Einstein,” while those with perfect vision bask in compliments such as “two-eyes” and “Oppenheimer.” Sharpen your sight with today's Groupon: for $1,895, you get LASIK surgery for both eyes at NY NJ Lasik, with locations in New York City, Paramus, and Edison (a $4,200 value). Groupon holders deemed ineligible for LASIK can use this deal for PRK/LASEK vision correction, gift the deal to someone else, or return this Groupon for a refund.

Each of NY NJ Lasik’s locations unifies advanced LASIK technology with experienced doctors. LASIK vision correction can sharpen eyesight for candidates plagued by common sight-fuzzers such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and forgetting to remove googly eyeglasses. After machines map a diagnostic of each eye’s inner workings, a microkeratome blade forms a miniscule flap in the cornea, and an excimer laser delivers a chilly beam of concentrated photons to restructure the cornea and improve its communications with the retina. Most patients can return to their routine the next day, noting only occasional eye dryness and vision fluctuations that lead them to mistake heavily draped coat racks for caped Batmen.

Most customers who do not qualify for LASIK can opt for the PRK/LASEK vision correction, which utilizes the same laser technology without cutting the corneal flap.

About NY NJ Lasik

NY NJ Lasik stretches its five fully equipped clinics, including a Manhattan location for fuzzy-sighted New Yorkers, across its two neighboring East Coast states. Each facility is presided over by its own board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the use of laser-based technology, such as LASIK and PRK, to restore eyesight lost to astigmatisms and far- or nearsightedness. Over the past 15 years, they have performed upward of 50,000 of the outpatient laser procedures, turning once-squinty patients into crystal-clear seers.

The clinics’ lineup of expert eye docs includes Dr. Mark Buchsbaum and Dr. Irida Llambiri, both of whom regularly engage prospective LASIK patients in complimentary consultations. During these brief meetings, they either deem the patient to be a suitable candidate for LASIK, recommend an alternative surgery, or advise patients to remove their photographic memory's lens cap.
