They then create a delicate portal with a microkeratome, through which they reshape the cornea using one of five lasers, each with different parameters to suit clients' individual conditions. LASIK eliminates or reduces the client's reliance on glasses, contacts, and prescription View-Masters immediately after the 20-minute surgery.
