What You'll Get
Today’s chic Groupon is packed with ambience, state-of-the-art fanciness, and food. For $25, you get a prix fixe three-course meal with wine pairing at hot spot O-Bar, West Hollywood’s visually arresting restaurant and lounge. Under the skillful watch of executive chef Aaron Robbins, you'll be treated to a sumptuous spread in a truly unforgettable environment that will live in your memory until it can be downloaded into a memory hard drive.
O-Bar’s prix fixe menu gives security to the indecisive while giving choice to the choosy. The meal begins in the appetizer phase where diners pick between the freshly prepared soup of the day and a tasty combo of wild arugula and roasted beets. After prepping your palate, the entree round physically forces you to choose either the pan roasted chicken breast (in a wild mushroom and Marsala pan sauce) or the honey-Dijon grilled short ribs (in a port wine demi glace). Each entree is paired specifically with a different fine wine that enhances the dish and prepares the mouth for the final dessert course: the brownie a la mode or your choice of sorbet or ice cream featuring homemade biscotti.
This LA Times–featured dining experience fits the bill for any special occasion, including birthdays, marriage proposals, and Supreme Court Justice swearing-in ceremonies.
Gayot.com raves that at O-Bar “the imaginative design seems to beg an equally avant-garde menu, but the inventive takes on American comfort food work surprisingly well.” Citysearchers agree with a collective 4.5 stars:
