Inside a big brick building at the corner of Manchester and Newstead, a taste of the Irish awaits. Welcome to O'Shay's Pub, a Grove neighborhood staple that combines an Irish pub atmosphere with an American sports bar, complete with craft beers served alongside Irish favorites. The constantly rotating draft- and bottled-beer selection includes the expected Guinness, Harp, and Smithwick's—but also seasonal brews, such as pumpkin ales and Oktoberfests. Pub grub continues this spirit of combining a bit o' the Irish with American favorites, from the house-fried irish crisps (thinly sliced house chips served with Harp cheese sauce) to the house-cured corned beef tacos. Burgers, tacos, nachos, and brats also abound, but those wistful for Dublin can partake of traditional Irish meals—including bangers and mash and shepherd's pie to wash down with Guinness pints.
