The Obsession Box TV Series
The Obsession Box shares its name with a 1960s Twilight Zone-inspired anthology series. Each week, characters on the Obsession Box would encounter the titular box, though their obsessions would inevitably lead to madness, ironically broken eyeglasses, or some other unexpected twist. Here are some classic episodes:
Room with a View: Mild-mannered lawyer Otis McLaren still lives at home with his domineering mother, though he longs for a big apartment with a view of the ocean. A chance encounter with the Obsession Box makes his dream come true, but at a terrible price—the apartment may be a ghost. Don Rickles guest stars as an insurance adjuster with a secret.
The Angry, Magic Boy: Sloansville looks like every other small town, but below the surface lies a horrible truth—the town is ruled by a temperamental nine-year-old with god-like powers. A local preacher finds the Obsession Box and uses it to turn into a flock of doves. Don Rickles guest stars as an insurance adjuster with a secret.
Alien and Eve: Two crashed astronauts, a man and a woman, must start a new society on a planet they call Earth. Later, the Obsession Box allows guest star Don Rickles to show up as an insurance adjuster with a secret.
