About Ocean & Vine
When the chefs at Ocean & Vine say they specialize in Californian cuisine, they mean that literally. The produce comes from Central Valley farms, the wines come from surrounding vineyards, and the seafood comes from the Pacific coast.
This local sensibility comes with a serving of whimsy, as evidenced by the Santa Monica chili appetizer, which marries unexpected ingredients such as shrimp and scallops with roasted garlic and fava beans. The entrees also bear out this eclectic flair with plates such as chili pineapple mahi mahi and pizza topped with beef short rib and onion-bacon jam.
A Beautiful View
Diners take this all in from a classically Californian white and blond-wood dining room with big arched windows, anchoring the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. They might pull up a seat on Ocean & Vine's patio, which lends stirring views of the ocean and Santa Monica Pier, or around a circular table with flames rising in the center, enjoying the warmth of the fire pit with a relaxing glass of wine.
