Experience the wide range of modern dance in ODC/Dance Downtown's 45th season. Brenda Way's latest combines dance and live music with photography and video to bring to life Thomas Hart Benton's murals of 1930s urban America in Walk Back the Cat, with a score performed live by Paul Dresher. KT Nelson premieres a new work, Solo, for ODC's exceptional Brandon "Private" Freeman, once again working with Kronos Quartet composer Joan Jeanrenaud. Called "the voice of the 'it's complicated' generation" by Dance Magazine, fiery New York choreographer Kate Weare also premieres a new work, Giant, which explores controversial acts of heroism, from Salome to Edward Snowden. See these exciting new works and more at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater.
