Q:

Would a 50-year-old women who is not very strong and has no ocean experience be able to manage the 90 minute sea cave kayaking trip? Thank you.

Marianne V.  asked on  Dec 28, 2012

A:

Marianne, Thanks for reaching out with us. The oldest person we have had out on the water with us, was a man who celebrated his 90th birthday with a 90 minute sea cave tour, and he did great. The tours are led by experienced guides who will help you throughout the tour, but there is some physical activity to it. If you have any more questions please call the shop directly at 858 454 9195. Best, OEX

How cold is the water this time of the year? Do you guys rent out wet suits as well?

Louis  asked on  Dec 28, 2012

Louis, Thanks for reaching out to us. The water temperature is around low 60's, high 50's so a wetsuit is highly recommended. We do rent suits, and we have one for every type of person on the planet. Can a 5 year old accompany an adult?

Q:

How far out do you go for the whale watching? Am experienced kayaker and would hope to get some paddling in on the trip. Thanks.

KATHLEEN R.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

Kathleen, Thanks for reaching out to us. For the whale watching tours, we paddle out about 2-3 miles each way, so you would definitely get a good paddle work out. If you have any more questions you can always call the shop at 858 454 6195. We hope to see you out in the water soon. Best, OEX
