Off The Saddle
As the tempo of the rock-fueled soundtrack starts to pick up, dozens of legs begin churning faster to match the new pace. All the while, dramatic lighting effects help maintain soaring adrenaline levels. This is a typical workout at Off The Saddle, which uses indoor cycling to provide a sweat-inducing, full-body workout. When creating the studio, founder Ryan Cullinan chose to teach the drop-saddle method of stationary cycling that she herself had come to love after just one class as a student. This technique asks riders to avoid resting on the bikes' seats for the vast majority of each workout, providing an extra challenge. However, every class at Off The Saddle is open to visitors of all skill and fitness levels. Throughout the course of each energetic, engaging workout, students can modify the intensity of their experience by adjusting the cycle's tension or activating the bike's rocket boosters while they take a quick break.
