Occupying the Lake County Classic Park in Eastlake on August 7, 8, and 9, the Ohio Celtic Fest features traditional Irish, Scottish, and Welsh food, crafts, and, most importantly, music. More than 150 Celtic musicians and singers from across North American and Europe gather to play throughout the weekend, with genres ranging from rock to traditional and pipe bands to folk. Acts including five bagpipe bands, fiddle players, a ceili dance band, and four schools of Irish dancers. Nashville’s Willis Clan, Florida’s Off Kilter, and Dublin-born Ciaran Sheehan headline the extensive lineup of performances. Each admission is good for one day of festivities only.
Ohio Celtic Fest
For three days in August, the Ohio Celtic Fest transforms Classic Park in Eastlake into the Emerald Isle with authentic music, dance, and merriment for the entire family. Merchants offer an array of Celtic-themed gifts, jewelry, and embroidered goods, along with a variety of food choices, and a children’s area offers entertainment for the little ones, which can include puppet and magic shows, and a petting zoo. Intended for Irish-Americans and non-Irish alike, the festival cultivates a connection with the old country through multiple performance stages filled with Irish musicians from the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
