Behind Oishi Sushi's warm, sunset-orange bar, chefs roll up the aptly-named "Spicy City." Crowned with spicy tuna, the roll is stuffed with mango and tempura jumbo shrimp whose tails stick out the top, making it look, in profile, like a city skyline minus the raging King Kong. Other specialties show a similar spunk and creativity—but that's not to say Oishi's chefs have abandoned the basics. They roll up spicy and traditional California rolls, too, serving them with miso soup and rice, and dish up Japanese classics ranging from teriyaki salmon to simple bites of conch sashimi.
