What an amazing cultural experience! Food is always delicious. I had the branzino and the elusive kwanga (they always sell out). Fish was well seasoned with different spices and grilled to perfection. Kwanga was an interesting dish. I loved it as it balanced the well-seasoned fish. companion had the peanut chicken. I swear it tasted better this time vs. first time we had it. Go and enjoy!

D-LISH!!!! What an experience to enjoy authentic West African cuisine! Service was always at it's best. The wings had that nice subtle heat! The the steak skewers were tender and beefy... Just the way I like my beef. The peanut chicken is definitely worth a try - the sauce!!! Could pour that sauce on everything and call it my meal. And end your meal with the beignets... Not too sweet!

Our experience was delightful! I use Groupon a lot, and rarely am I overwhelmed by how wonderful an experience is... but Okapi Bistro was one of those rare "wow!" experiences. The ambiance was perfect for a date night. The host, Pete, was so warm and charming that he felt like a family member by the end of dinner. And the food was delicious! You won't be disappointed at all!!!

Okapi deserves to be better known. It is much more attractive inside than suggested by its strip mall storefront, and the experience is enhanced by unusual but pleasant background music. The menu was limited the night we went, but everything was delicious - not too strong or spicy, but flavorful. Prices aren't low, but justified by the unusual offerings and professional but friendly service.
