What You'll Get
Dancing can make you feel like you're walking on air, but walking on air can make you feel like you're plummeting toward the ground. Step safely with today's Groupon: for $20, you get one month of west coast swing, country western, or Latin dance classes at the Oklahoma City Swing Club, located on Northwest 50th Street (up to a $40 value).
The OKC Swing Club gathers hoofers of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate dance in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. A large wooden dance floor and four mirrored practice rooms provide spacious surroundings as foot soldiers march to the beat of west coast swing, country western, or Latin rhythms. Choose the west coast swing class for a peek into clandestine California rhythm rituals, or opt for the country western class to master the shuffle, two-step, or waltz. Or, put a hot tamale in your stride with the Latin class, where you’ll learn cha cha, salsa, rumba, merengue, and bachata moves. Lessons begin the first week of each month and meet weekly; click here for class times. Included in the swing and country western classes is admission to periodic dance parties, allowing dancers to hone footwork while impressing classmates with realistic Abyssinian cat attire.

About OKC Swing Dance Club
The focus at OKC Swing Dance Club is on West Coast swing. The exceedingly social dance is made up of sweeping spins set to brassy, upbeat tunes. With roots in Los Angeles and some of the quirky aesthetic of rockabilly, it can be ideal for dancers of all ages and skill levels. Instructors also pass down techniques from other styles, such as salsa, country-western, and ballroom, and this can allow one to become the center of attention at a party without crying into a smashed piñata for hours. To help the staff, visiting dancers and teachers at the studio lead workshops on creative movement.
