Hi Quynh, The Affirm laser can significantly improve large pores and sundamage. Depending on the severity of the sun damage additional treatments may be necessary to achieve the optimal outcome. Thank you for your question, we look forward to seeing you. Dr. Kevin McMullen

Q:

Do you have reviews from past or current patients of your business?

Rebekah U.  asked on  Aug 23, 2012

A:

Hi Rebekah, We have always had good reviews for the Affirm Fractional. It is highly individual, like any laser treatment, depending on your ability to stimulate collagen (which decreases as we get older), the condition of your skin at the start, and your concurrent skincare regimen. Feel free to call us or come in for a free skincare consult. The Groupon is always worth what you pay for it, if you decide on a different treatment, but the Affirm is an excellent fractional laser.

Q:

Is this laser procedure similar to Fraxel? Are the results basically the same?

Tracy H.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Fraxel is a brand name. The are many fractional type lasers on the market. The Cynosure Affirm laser is rated one of the best fractional lasers currently in use. Results vary individually. Improved texture, laxity and overall appearance of the skin is expected.

Q:

What about this type of treatment on aged skin...what are the optimium ages for using such a procedure? At what age is a person considered too old for these procedures? Is it safe on someone who is older? Is it effective on older complexions? What might the side effects be for a person in his/her early 70's?

Carolyn T.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

The Affirm is great for aged skin, however we meet with every patient to discuss what they can expect from receiving these types of treatments and review health history along with potential risks. These treatments are performed safely on a daily bases with minimal downtime, if any. You may call us any time with specific questions at 749-2273. Thank you, we look forward to seeing you.
