“Great history!!!!”
What a fantastic museum! Truly a hidden gem. My tour guide was very well informed, I found the history fascinating (who knew we had this many important events in Taunton’s past?), and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

About Old Colony History Museum

Old Colony History Museum specializes in local history and genealogy. The term "Old Colony" refers to the area of southeastern Massachusetts that was once a part of the Plymouth Colony. The building was once a school called the Bristol Academy and now it is the home of a collection of more than 13,000 unique items and their archives and library full of information on Southeastern Mass prior to 1850. And its interactive educational programming makes it easier to learn the history and remember it for a long time.
