Since its founding in 1989,Fordham & Old Dominion Brewing Company has been dedicated to creating craft beers of all styles and educating patrons about their froth forging process through informative tours. During 30- to 45-minute brewery tours, passionate guides deftly shepherd groups of up to 25 through the complete lifecycle of a pint of beer, from its origins as fragrant ingredients to its transcendent leap into maturity via fermentation. Tours wend past shining pieces of beer-fabricating equipment including bright tanks and a hop percolator in the brew house nicknamed R2Hop2 due to its popularity with local C-3POs. A visit to the bottling and keg lines grants visitors an up-close look at various methods of libation containment, and a stopover in the tasting room enables trekkers to test-drive Old Dominion’s sippable masterpieces. Before departing, guests receive a 16-ounce branded pint glass to take home and break in via rigorous clinking rituals.

Fordham & Old Dominion Brewing Company

The Fordham & Old Dominion story started in 1989 when Jerry Bailey followed his passion for experimental brews by opening Old Dominion, which quickly gathered a loyal local following. In 1995, Bill Muehlhauser opened Fordham, and the two breweries joined forces 12 years later. Today, the company—led by Muehlhauser—remains dedicated to artfully crafted ales, lagers, and sodas with unique flavor profiles. These brews include the Double D IPA with guava and mango aromas as well as the Baltic porter, which combines the flavors of licorice and toffee with a touch of rye.

They have many good beers!

Really cool place. Very friendly staff. Tour was neat, best part though was definitely the taste testing. I took the other half for father's day, even the kids enjoyed it.
