Old Plank is a boutique luxury sailing charter & aquatic expedition company with gourmet 5 star cuisine. Founded by Captain and Chef Matthew Mancini and supported by a crew of lifelong watermen, we live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun. We share a deep passion for quality food and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the profound peace that comes from an alignment with the rhythms of the ocean. We’ve been fortunate enough to have been immersed in the ocean and gourmet foods our entire lives and derive great joy from sharing these experiences.
  • WHAT DO WE DO?
We take our guests out into a safe sailing environment on the Santa Monica Bay or beyond, where they have the opportunity to experience first-hand the joy of sailing, the rhythm of the ocean and unique pairings of gourmet foods and wines in the sweet briny sea air. We catch sunrises, bake in the mid-day sunshine and relax as the sunsets and the moon rises under starry skies. We play with seals, dolphins, and whales and when appropriate catch fresh seafood to enjoy al-fresco. We are living the Mediterranean dream in Southern California and sharing the experience with valued guests who leave the experience as family.
  • COVID-19 Precautions
Vessel is sanitized daily and in between charters. Please wear masks to vessel and can remove once we depart. All sails are private please do not book or sail if you are feeling covid-19 symptoms. We have supplied sanitizer through our locations of the vessel.

Captain Mancini was very friendly and informative, great appetizers, the boat was very nice. We had a great day out of the water.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Highly recommended. I have taken two trips with Captain Mancini and plan on more. Very relaxing, beautiful scenery, perfect length of time, even some lovely rosé and hors d'oeuvres provided on board. You will not regret booking this experience.
