Old Stage Grill
Old Stage Grill is the home of the Big Black Angus Burger, but it's not always entirely clear which burger that moniker refers to. After all, the restaurant has an entire burger hierarchy, starting with a 5-ounce Spoke burger that leads up to a 8-ounce Wagon Wheel and, ultimately, a 1-pound behemoth of juicy beef known as The Stage Coach. And when that Stage Coach picks up tasty cargo such as cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and chili, diners will need to do some finger asanas to ensure a good grip.
And even if your gut isn't prepared to take on the Runaway Train Eating Challenge—downing a 4-pound bacon double cheeseburger and 2 pounds of fries in 45 minutes—the menu has plenty of other things to offer. Signature plates offer homestyle classics including rib eye, barbecue pork, chicken liver, and hamburger steak with peppers and onions, which can paired with such traditional sides as fried okra, tater tots, or a baked potato. Otherwise, satisfy your old-school cravings with fried bologna, a turkey club, or wings in the familiar wood-paneled environs.
