Lingering too long at a single restaurant results in legs falling asleep, food going cold, and the maitre d' building a nest from patrons' belongings. Dodge stagnant dining with this Groupon.
$32 for a Culinary Walking Tour (Up to $59 Value)
Groups of up to 15 partake in one of two culinary walking tours through Orange’s unique eateries. A three-hour Orange Sampler Tour whisks guests along a 1.25-mile route dappled with stops at a variety of restaurants serving cuisines ranging from Cuban to Italian. The Vintage Orange Food Tour involves a four-hour trek that grants tour-takers a glimpse into the tastes, traditions, and recipes of bygone years through a mix of cultural stops and food sampling. The retro-themed tour kicks off at Ruby’s Diner, after which guides shepherd visitors to Orange Home Grown Farmers & Artisans Market housed amidst the historic surrounds of Villa Park Packing House. Guests sample the house specialty at each stop, and cooking demonstrations and meet-and-greets with restaurant owners and managers impart cooking savvy upon onlookers. Both tours include a bottle of water for each participant, and children ages five and under may attend for free and share tastings with a paying adult. Old Towne Orange Walking Food Tours
Deanna and Renee's memories of childhood are bathed in the warm, nostalgic glow of bustling family celebrations nourished by Northern Italian dishes and homemade wine. So influential were these culinary family traditions that the sisters banded together in adulthood to share their love of fine dining and their hometown with visitors from across the globe. Thus Old Towne Orange Walking Food Tours was born, a venture that enables the pair to shepherd curious foodies and history buffs of all ages through Old Towne Orange during their meticulously planned culinary walking tours.
The leisurely paced tours introduce guests to the town’s diverse selection of bistros, bakeries, and farmers' markets via numerous stops to sample house specialties. The Orange Sampler Tour introduces palates to the panoply of cuisines in the county, from heirloom tomato salad to french baked-potato soup.
