Olde Tyme Productions puts on Renaissance festivals in Southern California. The Escondido edition has been running for over 15 years, though it's fairly new to Lompoc. In each edition, however, attendees are invited to witness Queen Elizabeth's visit to their 16th-century shire. They learn about the Elizabethan Age thanks to costumed Guild members and period-accurate festivities such as jousting, pub hangouts, and performances by lively entertainers like fools and minstrels. Visitors also sample food and browse the wares of vendors, who might offer everything from corsets and quills to slightly more modern cheesecake and art photography.
