What You'll Get
Eating healthy can raise questions such as, "Are crayons a fruit or a vegetable?" and "How many steaks does a growing baby need?" Answer culinary questions with today's Groupon to Om Girl Yoga Center & Organic Epiphany in Pace. Choose between two options:
- For $12, you get two admissions to a raw-prep cooking class (a $24 value). The first course will be held on May 26, and the rest on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.
- For $30, you get five walk-in yoga classes (a $60 value).
With a coterie of dedicated and experienced instructors, Om Girl Yoga Center & Organic Epiphany imparts holistic-wellness strategies to curious students. The two-hour raw-prep classes aim to subvert humankind's lifelong fear of fire by making its pupils more familiar with raw cuisine beyond the humble salad, celery stick, or chrysanthemum. With un-denatured proteins and heat-sensitive nutrients intact, raw foods have the potential to nourish the body more completely than burnout cooked foods. All sessions include tutelage on concocting savory comestibles such as nut milks, hot and cold appetizers, unbaked pies, ginger-mango stir-frys, and more. Students will be able to experiment with flavorful soaked-nut dishes and the joys of food processors, among other techniques, before happily ingesting the final product. While all necessary equipment and ingredients will be provided, students should plan to bring a pen and paper for jotting down helpful recipe notes and tips for destroying meals that become self-aware. Secure a spot at least a week in advance.
Om Girl’s Hatha yoga classes guide fledgling yogis on their path to a peaceful realm as their bodies accrue flexibility and strength. Mat-less pupils need not scramble to secure the perfect equipment before class, as Om Girl generously donates mats and any other necessary equipment to its students for the class duration. Classes are held on Mondays, on the first, second, and third Thursdays of the month and on Fridays at 11 a.m.
