What You'll Get
Until the personal watercraft was invented, mankind's only hope for summer fun involved hitting candied hams with tree branches. Today's Groupon celebrates watery invention: for $64, you get a beach-rental package for two from On the Beach Watersports in Pompano Beach (a $132.50 value). The package includes:
- A one-hour jet-ski rental (an $85 value plus tax)
- Jet-ski fuel (a $20 value plus tax)
- An all-day cabana rental with lounge chairs for two (a $20 value plus tax)
Groupon customers also get half off tanning lotion purchased on the same day. Patrons born after January 1, 1988, must get a Florida boating license for an additional fee.
On the Beach Watersports equips beach-goers for a day of sand-sprinkled fun atop wave-ready watercraft and inside seaside shelters. During a one-hour jet-ski rental, pairs of patrons skim the salty spray of the Atlantic on a two-seat WaveRunner, overleaping whitecaps and lassoing stray sea cattle with spare bungee cords. After satisfying speed cravings, duos can snooze away the day in the two lounge chairs tucked inside their shady cabana, sipping frosty cocktails from the oceanfront bar (not included in today’s Groupon). Alternately, guests can slather skin in On the Beach Watersports' wide selection of sunscreens—available to Groupon customers for half off the regular price—before emerging from their beachside hideaway to mock the sun’s scalding rays with their burn-free bods.

About On the Beach Watersport
On the Beach's owners, Ken "The Sun Tan Man" and Captain Tony, provide all the gear needed for a relaxing and adventurous day at the beach. Behind the Royal Vista Resort, the beachside shop rents out maritime toys—Wave Runners, sailboats, kayaks, and boogie boards— to help tourists and locals to soak up sun, skim across waves, and lounge on the sand. The shop’s seasoned mariners—all with at least 25 years of experience—pull from their stores of knowledge and Old Bay seafood rub to devise custom lessons for sailors of any ability. Ken and Tony recognize that some people and all wicked witches might rather gaze at the water than be dampened by it. To cater to this landlubbing demographic, On the Beach rents out bicycles or shaded stays underneath beachside cabanas.
