Q:

Is there an age or minimum weight requirement?

Christine v.  asked on  Mar 30, 2013

A:

We have had a four year old successful rappel herself from the cliff. On average, most children seem comfortable at about age 8, however, it depends on the child. We can also just "lower" the child and they don't have to rappel themselves down if they are too young (we have done this successfully with children as young as four). We have equipment that is small enough for a two year old.

Q:

Are there any age, weight, or height restrictions? I'm thinking of doing this as an adventure with my children.

L. L.  asked on  Mar 30, 2013

A:

Children are welcome to join if they are able to rappel themselves or if we know in advance, we can lower younger children starting at age 2 if one participating parent is up top and one participating parent is down at the bottom. There are no refunds so it depends on the adventurous level of your kids. Our harnesses fit 20lb children and our XXL go up to 300lbs and 48 inch waist.

Q:

How many people go in one group and how many rape,s can you get done in 6 hours? Is the a place to eat on site or do we need to pack a lunch? Thanks

Nancy D.  asked on  Apr 2, 2013

A:

We will have one instructor for every six people as our maximum. I believe the record (achieved by a teenager) was 17 rappels in 6 hours. Most people are quite happy with a fraction of that. You can have a picnic lunch and bring your own food or you can drive or walk a short distance to various options for food. If you want to maximize your time on the rope, you should pack a lunch.

There isn't a max weight but we like to know if you are over 300lbs. It is for total beginners.
