One Eight Distilling ciphers inspiration from all of the history surrounding it's 19,000 square-foot space. And since it resides within our nation’s capital, there’s no shortage of rich history to draw from. Even the name, “One Eight”, is a direct reference to Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution, which provided for the establishment of a district to serve as the nation’s capital.

To live up to its lofty name, the D.C. distillery conjures up all manner of artisan libations, including whiskey, gin, and vodka, using locally sourced grains and ingredients. And thanks to tours and tastings, visitors can see exactly how the passionate spirit masters work their magic before sampling libations in a hip, onsite tasting room.
