Live entertainment supplements chowdowns, and kiddie rides (tickets required) keep tykes from sentencing dolls to dips into boiling cauldrons filled with spicy chili taste-testers’ tears. On Sunday, grillmasters season and slow-cook chicken, pork ribs, pork butt, and brisket to be judged by judges from the Kansas City Barbeque Society. Up to 20 area teams will compete for the $2,500 grand prize, which will be announced that evening at 5:30 p.m.
