A Chat with One-on-one Yoga
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I'm a Yoga teacher and also a mental health professional (MA in Psychology and Psychotherapy, licensed in Switzerland). I have much experience in helping people manage stress and coping with illness. The one-on-one setting makes it easy to tailor what I teach to your specific needs and preferences.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Everybody is different in how they get and stay motivated to exercise. One-on-one Yoga is ideal for exploring which practices feel good and for creating the right balance between mastery and challenge. For some clients home visits work better than coming to my studio, I'm flexible.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
In Switzerland I worked as a psychologist and wanted to share the wonderful benefits of Yoga with my clients. I decided to study Yoga in depth and after moving to the US, I took the opportunity to train with Suzanne Morgan and Amy Weintraub. Doing Yoga feels great and teaching it is fun.
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting to know my clients, exploring Yoga Poses and Pranayama with them, and helping them create a practice that they enjoy and that supports them in their everyday life.
