Eating healthy can raise questions such as, "Are crayons a fruit or a vegetable?" and "How many steaks does a growing baby need?" Answer culinary questions with today's Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of café fare and drinks at One World Cafe on Sprague Avenue.
One World Cafe squeezes fresh produce out of its own garden to create healthy, unprocessed organic meals. Aiming to reduce waste and offer every guest affordable and delicious eats, the community kitchen lets visitors define the size of their portions and pay based on preference and ability. Patrons can use One World's organic, vegtarian, or gluten-free fare to build a food fort on their plates, which come in three sizes—small ($6 suggested price), medium ($8 suggested price), and large ($10 suggested price). The menu features a daily changing selection of pizza, salad or soup, coffee or tea, and a dessert; previous items included cream of pumpkin soup, Mediterranean pizza, and Asian spinach salad. One World Cafe saturates its eating atmosphere with invisible rays of WiFi and soothes restless stomachs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday and every second Saturday of the month.
