With OneClass, gone are the days of borrowing notes from a random classmate if you miss a lecture. The education platform crowdsources lecture notes and other study materials from students at universities around the United States and Canada. Now students at such schools as Harvard, Princeton, Yale, the University of Wisconsin, MIT, the University of Southern California, and Auburn University can view 3 million pages of study documents from 1.3 million university courses.
To incentivize students to add their notes to its platform, OneClass offers them credits, which they can use to download documents from the site without paying. OneClass also offers gift cards to businesses including Starbucks, Amazon, and PayPal. Students can upload their notes from lectures, textbooks, and test-prep sessions. They can even attach video tutorials, an option that is particularly helpful for science classes or classes in horse-tail braiding.
