Q:

Hello, I went on your site looking for more info on what the "6 months" means, I imagine it is not a scheduled 6 month course, is it? Or is it more like the NetFlix model, where we can go in monthly and work through as many courses as we'd like? On the same note, can we switch up languages, for example I'd like to continue my studies in French, but would also like to take some Italian, can I do both during the 6 months? Just no clear on what I am buying. Thank you in advance.

Miguel S.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hi Miguel, Thanks for your questions. The 6 month voucher works like this: You register online for free and pick a language you'd like to learn. Then you redeem the code and get full access to all courses of the chosen language for 6 months. The voucher is valid only for one language. If you want to "unlock" two languages you could purchase a 2nd voucher, switch the learning language in your profile and redeem the 2nd voucher. This way you can switch between French and Italian.

Q:

Can more than one person in my household use a subscription online for the same language ?

Heather N.  asked on  Jan 11, 2013

A:

Hi. You could share one login. But that way the system cannot divide your individual learning levels.

Q:

I have had 5 years of high school spanish and then a full year of college level. But it has been several years since I have studied and I am not speaking the language. Will this course be too easy for me?

Valerie M.  asked on  Jan 10, 2013

A:

Hi Valerie. Thanks for your question. In fact we offer "refresher courses" for Spanish that might suit you just fine. You will probably find some basics easy but if you don't speaking it anymore Babbel can definitely assist to get back to this level. We offer speech recognition and a lot of Spanish exercises that reach intermediate level. Just give it a try or check the refresher courses here --> http://www.babbel.com/learn-spanish-online/65411-specials/156560-refresher-course-1

Q:

Is this designed for adults only or is this also appropriate for children, and, if so, what ages?

Debra B.  asked on  Jan 10, 2013

A:

Hi Debra, in order to purchase the courses the legal age is required. However the courses, especially the beginner's courses work for children as well as for adults. But we suggest that children learning languages with Babbel are supervised by their parents.

Q:

Does this subscription buy both Web and iPad version or just one or the other? I already have web subscrition but I'm not able to use it on my iPad without extra cost, so if possible, I'd like to use this groupon for my iPad. Thanks

Kasia S.  asked on  Jan 10, 2013

A:

No, unfortunately iPad subscriptions can only be bought from the iPad itself. If you log in to the app and choose to continue after the first lesson, or select "Get access", an email will be sent to you with further instructions. Open the email from the iPad itself, click on the link in the email and you will then arrive on our iPad payment page. Payments can only be made from the iPad itself.
