Q:

Can these lessons be done with a keyboard player also? Is there a step by step finger instruction location, if so is the keyboard set up the same as piano?? Thanks, T

Tara M.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Tara, Yes, the majority of our piano tutorials/lessons can certainly be learned with a keyboard. Fingering is a feature that we are currently working on and it should be launched within the next month or so, and you will be able to use your keyboard the same manner as you would use a real piano. Q:

Is this something that anyone in our house could access and work on (I have 3 kids - who would like to learn but aren't that serious - so I really don't want to invest in 3 of these)?

Kathy B.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Kathy, As long as your kids use the same computer there is no need to purchase more than one package. Always, Nimrod Cohen The OnlinePianist Team

Q:

How many days a week are the on-line lessons ? And how many minutes or hours on the lessons ..??

RUBY B.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Ruby, We upload a new tutorial every day (Sunday - Thursday) and they can be viewed anytime on your demand. There is no real answer regarding how much time it will take to learn every song, it is personal and depends on the learner, his experience and consistency. Q:

Does this teach someone to learn how to "read" music, or to play "by ear"? Thank you.

DONNA H.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Donna, The OnlinePianist application will not teach you how to read music but it can serve as a fantastic tool to help you improve your music reading. More than anything, it will help you learn by ear and also by sight. Always, Nimrod Cohen The OnlinePianist Team

Hi Barbara, Although we also have a dedicated virtual piano section on the site, we highly recommend to have an actual keyboard or piano in order to learn our piano tutorials. Feel free to address us again for any question you might have, Always, Nimrod Cohen The OnlinePianist Team
