At Onyx Laser & Medispa, we use a hand-held device that directs concentrated light into a hair follicle, when it’s in an active growth stage, to delay or prevent future hair growth in that follicle. The process is quick, effective, and gentle – although multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. Because hair follicles aren’t in the same growth stage at the same time, we usually wait at least several weeks before each follow-up appointment to ensure we are able to address all follicles in the designated treatment area. Most of our clients report minimal or no pain during a typical laser hair-removal session.
