About Open Heart Open Mind Therapy

During the course of a session, we will first talk about the reason(s) that brought you here. You will then be guided into a deep state of relaxation. In this hypnotic state, you will become aware of the tremendous power of your own mind. It is nothing I do TO you - You are in control the entire time. Hypnosis is actually a heightened state of awareness - it gives you more control of you. 

For the sessions, make sure you have a good Zoom connection with quality sound. Headsets or earbuds are recommended. You will want to either be lying down (preferably), or sitting reclined comfortably so that you can relax. I have found the added benefit of experiencing a hypnotherapy session in the familiarity and comfort of your own space often allows you to go deeper into relaxation than office settings. Plus - you can stay in that lovely relaxed state afterwards without having to get in your car and enter the hustle-bustle of life right away. 

While you are in the perfectly natural hypnotic trance, the session may include visualization, experience of traveling through time and space, emotional, psychological and/or physiological exploration, decision making, discovery, and fresh perspectives. Ultimately, what hypnosis does is bring your subconscious mind into alignment with your desired outcome, behavior, or personal feeling, so that you have all your inner resources working FOR you instead of self-sabotage.

Immediately after a session, you will typically experience more inner peace, and sometimes a light euphoria. It takes a few days, sometimes to feel the full effect of the treatment, as your subconscious is integrating the changes initiated in the session.
