My friend and I enjoyed this scavenger hunt. Our guide offered great tips about the app and gave us questions to solve for extra points. There is no time limit, so if you want to take a break at some of the great local shops or restaurants that you might be passing by, you can make your own schedule!

This was kind of neat, but I don't think I feel the need to do it again. It was fun looking around the city and trying to figure out where to find things, but it's not like it's city-specific. The app is pretty straightforward. Could be a really fun way to explore a place if you're new in town, I suppose.

We had a lot of fun! Yes, some of the items you're looking for are generic to any location, but it was still fun trying to identify them based on the clues and wander around town enjoying good weather. We even did it while social distancing, no contact with anyone other than each other. It was a fun afternoon date, or would be good for a family outing as well.

About Operation City Quest

Operation City Quest sends players on real-life scavenger hunts. The goal: to find over a hundred notable objects in your city, each differing in points and difficulty, and document the process along the way. The entire game is played via smartphone, which acts as a guide to the next destination. As you check off the items on your list—and send in photos to earn points—you can answer fun trivia or perform silly street challenges to score more and move up the leaderboard. But no matter the number of points you get, the most important objective is to have fun.
