It was nice to spend a few hours with our son and daughter-in-law. We did the quest in Sterling Heights, MI. The information stated it was a walking quest and would be about 2 hours which was fine for us. It started at Dodge Park. Unfortunately, the quest involved leaving the park, after completing probably 3 tasks, and having to drive. We thought the quest would be specific to the location but it appeared to be a generic list that would apply to most places. So, instead of having an orderly/consecutive approach to the locations we had to backtrack often adding more miles and time to the quest. We did enjoy solving the riddles to find the next quest and completing the activity/taking the photo.

We felt like the same 5 tasks were recycled with just a small change in the challenge. We lost interest after the 5th hint. :/

We did this as a team outing and it was the first time any of us had met in person. Was a fun way to connect and explore a new city.

- Teams use an app to play our scavenger hunt. The app will give a list of items to find in the form of riddles, and challenges to complete once you find an item in your city! Teams will be competing against other teams from all over the country on the app’s leaderboard, where they can see how they rank compared to others. Set a time limit of 2 hours for yourself to see how high on the leaderboard you can get within your time limit.

Operation City Quest sends players on real-life scavenger hunts. The goal is to find a variety of objects in your city, each differing in points and difficulty, and document the process along the way. The entire game is played via smartphone, on an app that will provide your list of items to find. As you check off the items on your list—and send in photos to earn points—you can answer fun trivia questions or perform silly street challenges to score more and move up the leaderboard. But no matter the number of points you get, the most important objective is to have fun.
