What You'll Get
Commuting via sailboat has a number of advantages: there are no traffic jams, there are no hitchhikers with hooks for teeth, and if you hit a deer, it's definitely the deer's fault. Enjoy guilt-free traveling with today's Groupon: for $37, you get one admission to a 2.5- to three-hour shared sunset cruise from Orange Beach Sailing Adventures (a $75 value). All plank-walkers will depart from Orange Beach Sailing's dock located at Hudson Marina on South Wilson Boulevard in Orange Beach. This Groupon only covers admission for one person, but customers can purchase up to two Groupons.
The shared sunset cruise sends a yo-ho-ing band of up to three couples or six landlubbers on a wave-rolling sail charter of the majestic Alabama Gulf Coast. Departure takes place two hours prior to sunset, launching newly salted dogs down the Perdido Pass and into the open water of the Gulf of Mexico on a 37-foot Irwin Yachts vessel. Soak in the view or challenge the maritime wildlife to an intense decathlon of water sports, including dolphin marco polo and sardine tug of war with a seagull. Once the sun has crawled back into its cloud hole, the boat embarks on a moonlit return to shore.
Orange Beach Sailing Adventure's yacht is equipped with an array of aquatic amenities such as storage lockers, a shower, and a bulkhead-mounted dining table, and a full entertainment system allows passengers to listen to their favorite Swedish death-metal songs as they watch the sun set. Soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks are provided to all nautical navigators, and those with fancier tastes can bring along their own wine, champagne, or freshly caught caviar. Call in advance to make a reservation for your party.
Cruises can accommodate parties of up to six people, but only two Groupons can be redeemed per party.
