Although known for its historic character, this area is also home to many emerging gourmet restaurants and food shops. These new additions to the neighborhood are working to create innovative and delicious cuisine -- and this is your chance to taste some of their offerings. You'll start at the west end of Old Towne and begin with a vegetarian-style breakfast item, attend a master class at a gourmet cooking school, and sample an unusual savory sausage creation. After you visit a few shops along the way, you'll get a background on the historic district, and find out why the area has inspired such innovation and community. Then you'll sample provisions of cheeses, enjoy chocolate, and taste unique culinary items that are sure to have you coming back for more.
