Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Orchard in Bloom Garden Show, held Friday, May 2–Sunday, May 4, in Holliday Park, is an annual gathering of organic beauty, spotlighting edible gardening this year with enticing displays of fresh herbs and vegetables among ornate, kaleidoscopic flowerbeds. In the Garden Pavilions, local landscapers fill tents with vibrantly verdant environments. Competitive petal planters may enter their captive creations in Containers in Bloom, a contest to prove the greenest thumb.
Also joining the show are market vendors to advise and equip attendees to grow their own gardens. Curious sprouts get the chance to grow a floral seedling of their own in the children's area while their parents nibble from the garden café and wonder why daisies spring from their fertile footprints.

About Orchard in Bloom Garden Show
Orchard in Bloom’s annual garden show and symposium sponsored by National Bank of Indianapolis in Holliday Park raises funds for The Orchard School, an independent grade school for grades pre-K through 8, as well as Holliday Park. Select local landscapers create macro-landscapes with in-season botany as well as specialized microgardens, designed to showcase specific plant varieties and new design ideas that homeowners can easily incorporate into their own yards. Gardeners can stock up on tools, plants, and art at the Gardener’s Market, full of national and regional artisan vendors. The children’s area entertains youngsters with age-appropriate activities, such as filling flowerpots with soil and playing patty-cake with the limbs of trees.
